Assignment 4: Analytical Reflection

Though having numerous public speaking experiences over the years, I still have butterflies in my stomach whenever I have to present in front of a group of people. To my surprise, I managed to deliver the presentation smoothly with proper pronunciation of words and sustained eye-contact. It may seem that I did pretty well, I feel that I could have done much better as I did leave out important details during my presentation which were crucial for the audience to better understand our proposed solution. As such, I realized the importance of having ample preparation by drafting and practicing my speech for any upcoming presentation.

Despite forgetting to mention the relevant points, I am thankful that my teammate noticed and mention it during his part. This small act made me realize the importance of teamwork. Being in a group of three may be a small number however having three people of different personalities and character working together may be difficult. I am lucky to have teammates that compromises to one another despite having different opinions. With that, I feel we have displayed great teamwork as we have the essential communication skills required for a team.

In conclusion, one valuable takeaway from this presentation is the importance of team spirit. It may be difficult working together as a team when we do not know one another however, with effective communication; we have soon become friends that share the same goal of doing well not only for ourselves but for the team.
